Beverly Hazelwood

Beverly Hazelwood has served as the rehearsal accompanist and concert organist for the Masterworks Choir for 28 years. Prior to 1994 she held the position of performance organist. In September 1994, she followed the very gifted Lucy Thomas and became the rehearsal accompanist and organist for the Choir. Lucy had served the choir for twelve years with her talent and dedication.

Mrs. Hazelwood has held organist positions in several churches in Charleston, Baltimore, and Florence, and is currently music associate at Central United Methodist Church. She was one of the driving forces that led to the establishment of the Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center. She continues to be a community leader whose aim is to improve the quality of life in Florence and the region through the arts and through medical and social programs.
